THE CAMBODIA BAMBOO TATTOO
The cultural significance of the traditional tattoo is the reason for considering this option, my friend is now Buddhist and i think he is quit grown up, supporting many people in asia.
While at the tattoo festival where the local people go to get there tattoos recharged, I was welcomed by many, it certainly wasn't offensive to them. Yes it's a personal thing, and yes there are hygiene risks, we intend on taking appropriate precautions.
Your cautions are appropriate, but for me it's more than just an ink marking.but tattoos have got NOTHING to do with Buddhism-in fact, they go against the teachings of attachment!
-real Buddhism has got nothing to do with nice golden Buddha statues, and temples-this is all a lie,it is all about awareness, and finding your OWN path!
-real spiritual people do not need such gimmicks, unless they are part of a close knit tribe, which is their life-unlike backpackers, etc.
